Title: MS EasyBall help
Post by: BobA on March 22, 2002, 04:01:32 pm
Hi

I found a really cheap MS EasyBall but it did not come with its CD-ROM.    I am looking for a source for the utility that came on that CD-ROM.  I tried the MS site and it has a driver but no utility. I installed the ball and it works but the utility is supposed to be used to adjust the trackballs action.   Does anyone have any idea where I might find this utility?

Thanks

Bob

how easy is that thing to roll? Does it spill shen you roll and stops a few seconds later or stops on the dime? Since it was made for kids i'm sure the quality of feel was not put into the product.

It has a sort of slow roll.  It stops if you do not apply force in any direction.  I think it is basically a mouse replacement for those with less then fine motor control.  I am using it to see if I want to go all out and get a real trackball.   Sort of trying it on various games to get a feel for what a trackball would add.  Construction is sort of feeble.  The ball has a ridge around it and you can feel it when it passes over the rollers.

:)

Thanks

Got the driver from a helpful cabinet owner. It allows a trackball to be used on the serial port along with the mouse on the PS2 port.  When the trackball is moved the cursor changes to show it is in use.

If anyone else is looking for the easyball driver it can be found here:
