Title: Happ USB Trackball Drivers?
Post by: Joystick Jerk on May 11, 2007, 08:01:53 am
I just ordered one of the Happ USB trackballs from Divemaster, and I'm curious about the functionality of it's hookups for pushbuttons. The manual erratta mentions that when the trackball is plugged in, it will be basically recognized as a mouse in windows. BUT, basic XP drivers only recognize 2 mice buttons(so Happ says), so you'd need to install a 3rd party driver that recognizes 3 buttons.

Does anyone know the solution to this particular quandry? Do I just pick some random mouse driver(i.e. Logitech) for a three button mouse and install that? Has someone made/found special 3-button mouse drivers for these USB trackballs?

I think happ maybe talking w98.   I use mice all the time where the scroll wheel also has a button function and I have never had to load a driver yet with XP.
