Title: Cabinet top is 20" wide - how big should circular side art be?
Post by: javeryh on May 04, 2007, 06:13:33 am
OK, here's a shot of my cab and the sideart:

The top section where the sideart will go is 20" wide - I'm thinking of making the sideart 15" in diameter leaving a 2.5" border on either side.  I want the font to be readable but I don't want it to look disproportioned.  Any thoughts?

That sounds about right.
What I usually do is take a digital picture, overlay the art on it so that it looks right visually, and then scale the art up to find out what size it is.

Another thought: maybe you could free-hand sketch a rough version at the size you're thinking and see if it looks right?
