Title: Can the iPac be made to be compatible with the 360?
Post by: Doom bucket on May 01, 2007, 04:36:00 pm
there is a USB attachment for the iPac, the 360 has a USB port... I'd really love to be able to use my control panel with my 360 without any hacks...

I'm confused about what you're trying to do.  Do you mean an UltraStik 360 or Perfect 360?  I assume UltraStik 360.  If so, what hacks?  Attach your buttons to your IPAC and plug your IPAC via USB to the computer.  Then plug your U360s into the computer via their USB plugs.

What hacks are you talking about?

I'm sorry, I meant Xbox 360.

Ahhh...of course.  And now you are officially out of my knowledge area (not that you were really in it to begin with, but hey)

The Xbox 360 will only work with official licensed products, Microsoft signs all the hardware in some way. The exception to this is USB keyboards, but these will only work for entering text in the dashboard and stuff, you can't actually map keys from a keyboard in games.

Unless Ultimarc were to get licensed by Microsoft, which will never happen, the only way you'll be able to hook up a 360 to your cabinet will be via a joypad hack on an officially licensed joypad.
