Title: Head to Head cocktail games

Hey i've just built a mame cocktail, and i was wondering if anyone can recommend some head to head games a la paddle maina or tetris,  If i remember there was a head to head space invaders type game.any others out there?

Sorry if i wasn't clear, i have a williams cocktail that was mamed, a person on eachside of the machine, so im looking for any suggestions for games, like paddlemaina and tetris that you can play head to head

With the new Mame Video "Cocktail" feature you can play so many more games head to head than you used to, even Mortal Combat.  I think there is a  version of space invaders that  was designed for head to head cocktail.  The aliens are in the middle and the ships shoot head to head at the aliens.  So you have to dodge your opponents fire.

puzz loop 1 (you have to modify the controls, unless you have 2 spinners)
gauntlet 1 + 2
space invaiders cocktail
tetris cocktail

Pong is not emulated in MAME.  You can find a simulator in MisfitMame.

Yeah the custom space invaders is cool and tetris ...

do a quick search this has been discussed a few times, there are a large amount of playable games in head to head cocktail mode.....

i was actually asking about the mame video cocktail....what makes it possible to play more games head to head, is this documented somewhere you can link me?

In newer versions of Mame you can press "tab" then "video option" then "cocktail" and the screen will produce a second image that is upside so your head to head player 2 can play.  It works really well if you have a vertical monitor and are playing horizontal games that can have 2 players playing at the same time.  ex: Double Dragon, TMT, Mortal Kombat etc.
