Without pictures of your cab I can only take a blind stab...
I've found it pretty standard for there to be clips that you can release by reaching up through the coin door. In my Dynamo cab there are three, in my Neo-Geo there are two.
After releasing and unhooking these lever action clips your CP will hinge down so you can gain access.
Sounds like you need to do some cleaning and/or have a loose connection.
Send some picts if you want more definate advice.

Don't know how much you know about this stuff, so here's detailed directions:
If the buttons are getting stuck down when you press them, the best bet is to follow the directions knave gave you do open up the CP. Once you do, you can take the switches off of the troublesome buttons (if they're standard Happ horizontal buttons, press out on the tab that sticks past the white switch. The switch should then hinge forward and come off). Make sure you know which button gets which switch. Then take the nut off of the bottom of the button. Pull the button out of the top of the CP. Push the two tabs that stick out over the sides so that you can press the button plunger all the way out of the button housing. Don't lose the spring. Clean them up in some warm soapy water. let dry thoroughly and re-assemble. They should be good as new. You'll probably see remnants of coke that someone once spilled into the CP.
Here's a picture of a standard Happ horizontal pushbutton:
