Has anyone used the monitor I mentioned? I'm trying to pick the monitor for my Cab and that looked reasonable.
-
Also, I wonder if I can get a 27" arcade monitor to fit in a MAME cabinet. Dimensions are 23"H X 23.5W X 25"L

I just got mine last week. I'll post some pics shortly.
Pretty much everything is great about it -- my only complaint is that when sizing the image smaller, it introduces some minor geometry problems (pinching on the sides).
-
Here are a few pics (hope you don't mind hosting these saint :) )
The curvature on the sides looks horrible in the pics but isn't noticeable in real life. Not sure what causes that. Same with the moire interference (don't see it at all expect in pictures). I took pictures of horizontal and vertical CGA games, medium resolution (bonanza bros) and even VGA (tapper). This things handles pretty much everything. Even vector games can be configured to be pretty good (better than TV, but not quite as good as a PC monitor).

Thanks,
I just measured my cab and I don't know what I was thinking. There is no way that is going to fit...that makes baby Jesus and me cry :(

This is the Betson we're talking about? ahofle, I don't see any, or hardly any scan lines. Are those running native? Also, the moire an stuff is a matter of shutter rate an stuff relative to refresh.
-
Yes, it's the Betson multisync and all those are running at the native resolutions (well except for star wars of course which I ran at 800x600). The scanlines are a little more noticable on horizontal CGA games to me (like Joust/Robotron), but they aren't bad at all. I was actually worried about that based on some feedback around here. I'm not seeing the problem though.

Hmmm, maybe my avga, or monitor, is running interlaced or something when I run native resolutions?...except I'm generally not getting flicker (except in vector games, where it's bad)...cos those mostly look like you're running at max monitor res. Dunno.
