Title: Question on GGG LED Buttons
Post by: Dougmeister on April 27, 2007, 07:58:15 pm
I want to buy LED buttons for my 2-player cab.  I only have 5 buttons for each player.

So, in addition to the buttons, what else do I need to buy?

The RGB-Drive™ Pushbutton Lighting module  (http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=83&products_id=240)

If so, how many?

Do I need to order the Blue ButtonBlaster™ LEDs (http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=83&products_id=263) or do they come with the buttons?

Lastly, what is the RGB-Drive™ Pushbutton Lighting module (http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=83&products_id=240) used for?

Thanks for your patience.

Well, it sounds like you're going for solid color buttons, right. In that case, you don't need the driver, you could just tap into the PC power supply. The RGB drive is for being able to control the colors of the buttons, but if you want a solid color you should actually look into the GGG NovaGem buttons. They're a GREAT product for your needs.

Cool.  Thanks.

So, all I need are 10 of those, right?  No extra hardware required?

I don't need the LED-Wiz?  So what does the other wire go to?  1 goes to +5v.  The other goes to my KeyWiz Max 1.5 ?

Goes from +5V and Ground if you have no LED wiz.  This will turn the light on constantly. This is the LED only.

There is still are requirement to connect the micro switch to a daisy chained ground and your key wiz.
