What are you going to put it in?  You could save a lot of money if you could adapt a PC flightstick (if you can find an analog one).

Or buy a regular analog joystick and make it a flight stick using this method:

Or buy used.  Start watching E-bay or look for someone parting one out...

the problem i have is that its got to have 4 buttons on the grip itself, the company that make the machine are based in spain near barcelona but i have been waiting 2 weeks for a reply from them

Perhaps they're still recovering from the Olympics so long ago... :dizzy:

Perhaps you should have sent your request with a "Dear sirs..." instead of an "Hola, pinche cabrones..." :laugh2:

Or (Hey! Here's an idea!) hop a train and go there and get it!

Have them send you the 100 euro's, order the 25-euro one, then take the rest and hoist a few pints...

What's wrong with the old stick?

What's wrong with the old stick?
the plastic grips are broken inside so they just twist around the shaft,i tried using some good plastic filler to recreate the molding but to no avail.
once the customers start twisting the grip the wires break to the switches

Hmm...had a Zaxxon do something similar....

Have you considered drilling holes through the grips and the shaft and running bolts through to keep them from twisting?  Or new holes if the current holes are stripped?

this is such a crappy controller that the shaft is not wide enough to bolt through(it has 5 wires running through it),i have noticed that the game only seems to use 3 of the 4 buttons so this may give some cheaper alternatives-this a very annoying crap machine, its up there with belly bomber and crypt killer

Is it something where you could just try to find a replacement handle? You might be able to find a PC flight stick with a similar diameter shaft. Or if you could possibly find a Happ or Suzo stick whose parts would work on yours and order just the parts of the handle.

I'm guessing you've already checked into this though.

Does Spain even have an Air Force???   ;)

Just alter the CP and put in a normal joystick with the buttons on the CP next to it.   They'll get used to it eventually....

BTW...

Tried to do a KLOV search for "rx-1" and similar and didn't find anything.  Wanted to see what the original looked like just in case I have something like it lying around the shop.....
