Title: will a playchoice show video without any game PCBs?

If you turn on an actual (not mame/emulation) playchoice PCB without any games plugged in, does it come up with something on the screens?  What is it on each screen?  Does it make any sounds?

I need to test out and know if it works, but don't have any games, nor the time to get any (before that test).
