Title: Where can one find schematics?
Post by: knave on April 25, 2007, 11:38:44 am
I'm looking for a schematic for Street fighter 2.  I have the manual but what I need is the list/map of IC's and ROMs etc...

My Jamma cab for a map...er...not really.

Please post any sources you might have for arcade schematics.

If you have a SF2 scheme then please let me know.

Perhaps others can benifit from this list as well...

So far all I can find is the Kit instalation manual.  Which although useful does not have a proper schematic which I can use to ID chips.

Anyone who knows lots about repairing PCB's check out my plea for help in the Arcade Misc section... (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=65966.msg666451#new)

I might just get another board and repair this one ... eventually...

(I guess I could make a 1 player street fighter cab.  :(  )

Check the wiki (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Restoration) ...

EDIT: Of course, AFTER I post this I find that the link to manuals and schematics on ArcArc was broken ... fixed now.

I don't think that they ever released an actual board schematic. The reason for this was that they insisted on doing the repairs to their boards themselves and that's why they live in that nice sealed case. You actually had to send them off to get them repaired when they were in service.

You do also know that they have a suicide battery in there don't you.... If you disconnect that at any point, your board is dead more or less forever. Although I do hear that there are patches out on the web for blowing chips to bypass that.... not allowed to give links to those on here.

Fozzy's right about the CPS 2 boards...the ones that have the "A" and "B" parts.

Fortunatly for me Street Fighter 2:World Warrior, Champion Edition and Hyper are older CPS1 PCB's and they have no suicide battery.  (My board is World Warrior)

Unfortunatly ArcArc only has the Kit install manual as well...

There might be no scheme for this board...in that case I'll have to go slow and trace it out myself.  (I'll probably never get around to it.)

I'm not giving up yet...there are a few more places for me to try. Keep the links coming...

Thanks guys.
