Title: Stripping a Galaga Control Panel
Post by: Hawk Daddy on April 21, 2007, 02:08:33 am
Don't ever do it.  Took me two hours, with a paint scraper and I have only to take off the decal.  There was 4 control overlays, just layed one ofer another.  And it was a b to get off.  So I would advise yall just to friggin put the new one over the old ones.  Unless yall know an easier way, I will never strip one down again.

Heat gun.  Loosens the adhesive, comes off like butter.

Then use adhesive remover to remove the rest.

It was midnight, I wasn't really thinking about it.  And also I don't have a heat gun.

Blow dryer would have worked too, just slower.

You need another "p" in your topic (stripping) I thought I was going to see someone else with hand painted pinstripes on their cab.  :P
