So I got another lot in--same drill as last time--they have been completely dissassembled, cleaned (dishwasher for platics, steel wool for rollers) and reassembled and tested. They are sort of spotty though cause we ran out of jet dry :dizzy:.
Anyways, based on the last round, shipping cost me about $11.50-12.00 on average so I'll fix the price at $30 for happs and $25 for Betson with $7 shipping for either. If you want multiples please PM me for rates.
I have 7 Happs and 3 Betsons available. Contact me via PM for the paypal address or to arrange alternative payments.

Come on .... go get a nice Happ 2-1/4" for me ..... :-[
-
how about a 4" missle command ball? Who wants a dinky 2 1/4" anyways :laugh2:
-
I gotta work with the hole already in my control panel and some of the Happ trackball mounting parts I already am using :dunno
-
update 6 happs left , 3 betsons
-
My Betson arrived from menace today... looks great, thanks!

To answer some common questions i get:
Are they the high-LIP version (not the normal-lip or high-ball), Happ part #56-0100-11HL?
No they are regular Happ trackballs
Do they have the improved "Red Board" PCB optic boards?
Yes although how its "improved" isn't quite clear and is further unknown whether it has any relevance in a mame machine...
Do they work perfectly/as intended?
They are used but spin freely--if you want perfect buy a new one.

Oh and your welcome!
-
Check your pm. I stupidly asked if they're are 3" trackballs, without paying attention to the thread's topic. I'll take one!
-
Oh and just to clarify--shipping prices are north america only--oversea fellas--PM for shipping price-- they come in boxes 20cmx20cmx10cm and weight about .95Kg if you would like to estimate yourself.
-
Just one more question. Am I imagining or happ trackballs have more surface of the ball exposed than the betson? (btw check pm just one more time)
-
By my eye, they are equal--which would make sense since they are used interchangeably on golden tee machines. (i have been drinking however so take it with a grain os falt.... :applaud:)
-
6 Happs, 2 Betson's remaining.
-
5 happs, 2 betson's

Hey guys just a heads up that as of friday I'm just going to list the remainder on ebay with regular (actual) shipping prices so if you want one after that have a look there. There's something i'm hankering to buy but the funds need to be in paypal hence the change of venue.
-
Ok I jumped the gun--these are now available on ebay if anyone wants one (please buy through there to keep number available accurate) Because I'm a swell guy I'll still shave 5$ off shipping if you tell me you came from here.

I received mine today, and it is better than I expected/described. It was packed well in a nice box. Thanks!!!
FWIW - the one I received was a high lip, not a regular lip... Cool, because I was wanting a high lip anyway as I suspect most BYOACer's want that too...

Hey good to hear! I thought the high lip was a lot higher than this which is why I was/am calling them regular track balls--anyways, glad you're pleased!
-
Got mine yestarday. Visually everything seems as described, I'm pretty sure it will work just fine as well.
Thank you
-
hey menace, I don't know if my private message went through but I am interested in buying one of your 3" happ track balls, please let me know if you still have any left
-
Sorry--they have all been sold via ebay. If i get another lot I will start a new thread and begin the process again. I will be listing them on ebay directly next time since the interest here slowed right down while they sold out on ebay in a few days. the byoac discount will still apply.
-
Hopefully if you get a nice 2-1/4" Happs Trackball you will contact me directly :P
-
I have a suzo 2 1/4" I think--red ball though--i'd trade even for 3" one (betson or happ)
-
I already have the mounting plate and bracket for the Happ 2-1/4" trackball so I will wait until one of these are available.
