Just recently started on my first arcade stick project, wiring to a Logic3 usb pc gamepad.
Everything is great, everything does what it should and this being my first stick feels like god has handed me a new pair of hands to play with, BUT after a good few button presses (a level on ghouls and ghosts, or a match of street fighter alpha 3) the pad just freezes up. Doesnt do anything until its unplugged from the usb then plugged back in, and its good as new again. At first i thought it was a problem with having the grounds on the stick/buttons daisy chained round to one connection, but after adding wires so that everything has its own ground, its still the same.
Can anyone please help me, getting this far has been a dream come true, even surrounded by ps2 controller parts (damb plastic printed boards...)

Sounds like a wiring error making the pad lock up. Most pads do not have an easily identifiable common ground and if one ground wire is not actually on a ground the pad could freeze up or a combination of button pushes could make it freeze up. Sorry cannot be more help without actual info on the pad being used and how it is wired.

post a high qual picture of your hack, and see if any special button combos cause the lockup. if you can recreate the issue, that can help to pinpoint what the problem is.
