Hi friends,
I can't remind of an arcade (but not only) online game site.
You had to download a program from them, pay a subscritpion...and then you get access to every new games each month.
It was designed like an "arena", a "dome" with wall of screenshots
Anyone to help with this poor description ;-)
Thanks

Whatever it is it sounds a bit shady to me...

I think you are thinking of GameTap.

Thanks very much Kilroy01!!
This is it!
Thanks!

GameTap is a subscription-based video game service by Turner Broadcasting System (TBS). Dubbed by TBS as a "broadband gaming network", the service provides subscribers with the ability to play hundreds of classic arcade, computer and video games, watch Cartoon Network and view game-related video content for a flat monthly fee.
That quote is intended to balance out the "words without knowledge" from FrizzleFried, just so someone doesn't get the impression that the OP is asking about "shady" sites.
Now, while TBS isn't a "shady" outfit, I can assure you, that a "48-in-1" gameboard, such as your Nintendo cabinet is sporting, is indeed "shady". I couldn't care less about who's running bootleg boards, but hypocrisy, regardless of the subject matter, is always worthy of contempt.

Maximum: Read the initial authors post. That "service" can be a description of MANY different types of services, some shady some not so shady. Game Tap, though I have never used it, I am sure it doesn't offer "access to every new game each month" while there ARE shady services out there that DO offer "access to every new game each month" that are run out of China and a number of other locals. I apologize to the author if he was offended by my response, it was not posted with any intentions of associating him with anything...
Maxumum, just because it's been proven that the Nintendo sticks CAN be broken doesn't mean you should be mad at me! I merely posted the question asking about them and frankly, I LIKE the Nintendo sticks and have decided on keeping mine in my cabinet! Your ire is directed at the wrong person.
Furthermore, where do you see any opinion of mine regarding said service. I merely said that it sounded like it was possibly a shady service...for all you know, I may be interested in said possible shady service. I didn't attack the OP for asking about it. I didn't go on and on about how said service is bad, good, or anything in between. How can you even consider my statement hypocrisy when I didn't even give my opinion at all...other than to point out that it SOUNDED like it was a shady service? Hmmm?
:dunno

Actually he quite accurately described the interface of the software he was asking about, accurately enough so that it didn't take long for someone to identify it. He said:
It was designed like an "arena", a "dome" with wall of screenshots

You mean by a hammer (lol)? Yeah, I already knew that. What does that have to do with anything?

Your implication was clear. Asking for links to "shady" sites (e.g., ROM downloads and similar) is against the forum rules here and at most other forums. Since you made it clear in your own words that you didn't know what he was asking about:
Whatever it is it sounds a bit shady to me...
Maybe giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't asking about something "shady" was in order?

I've never seen the GameTap interface so I had no idea what it looked like. Again, I apologize to the OP if he was offended in any way, shape, or form as that was not my intention, though it seems that there is only one here with thin skin.

You guys are both right. Game Tap is owned by Time Warner. I used to work for them and can confirm that Time Warner is indeed a very shady operation.

Nice, that should calm things down I'm sure.... oh wait, probably not, I think it'll take the hose.

If they start to debate the definition of shady, hose them overboard. ;D
