I'm using the wiring harness and under control panel -> gamepads it is recognized and I can tell that the buttons are also recognized. How do I assign button 8 to ESC, button 4 to Player 1 Start (1), button 7 to Pause (P), etc.? Also, my joystick is installed upside down so how do I change right to left, left to right, up to down and down to up?
THANKS!!

1. Enter in game to menu (hit TAB) and assign buttons.
2. Unscrew U360 PCB and rotate it.

Note the PCB does have TOP marked on it.

Thanks - I was hoping there was some magical solution. Do I have to assign the buttons for every single game? What a pain!
I love the stick so far though!

After hitting [Tab], select Input general, and it will set your assignments for all games...

Hmmm... I thought I tried that out last night and the settings didn't keep from one game to the next. I'll give it another shot because that makes the most sense...

Maybe you could just redo the U360 maps. Then it would send a UP when it's actually being read as DOWN (while you are pushing up).
I'd think that the 'input general' would be just as easy.
Is there a reason you don't want to rotate the PCB to the correct orientation? I'm guessing - wire routing?

Nah, I'm going to flip the U360 the right way. Everything is wired and I thought it would be a problem but then I remembered that I'm an idiot and the harness and USB cable are easliy unpluggable. It shouldn't be a problem. Now all I have to do is figure out how to configure the buttons.

It may work fine as is (with proper config - I don't know I haven't gotten that far yet...), but if not, then maybe joy2key?
