Title: Dream arcades "super" Joystick how do i put this thing back together ?
Post by: mrclean on April 17, 2007, 08:52:54 pm
Dream arcades "super" Joystick how do i put this thing back together ?  I can take pics... I'm pretty sure Ive got all the parts, a few people were telling me that a spring would fly after taking off the e clip, i didn't really experience that.. unless its lost because I do have a large spring about the size in diamter of a quarter with about 4 other plastic parts / spacers etc...  Ive seen pictures of the exploded view of HAPPS Super joysticks which are different. Seriously considering going with ultimarcs mag sticks which are top of control panel switchable to 4- or 8 way which is cool, and didnt know existed until last night, does any one have them, and how does the magnetic return compare to a spring return. Basically I like the feel of the super joy from dream but want it to be 4 way convert. from top of panel i really think this is my best option

That goes inside the joystick, through the top under the dust washer. The joystick slides through it.

Unless I've got it backwards, if I do - it goes on the bottom.  ;D

It goes together just like a Happs Super stick. See this diagram:
http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/super_joy_e.htm

If you have the piece in upsidedown, then you'll hear a clicking noise when you move the stick around.
