Should news comments go in a dedicated single forum, or be spread out by topic as I've been doing?

Dedicate. People that read the news page anyway may not need to see the threads throughout the different forums. Those that don't read the news page can find them all in the same place. My two cents. :)

Well my vote made the results clear I think... clear as mud 50/50 so far. I think that if people wanted to look in a dedicated place for the news, they would look at the front page. Posting in the cooridinating forums makes it more likely for people to apreaciate the stories and for me it's the only way I would see them sometimes. My bookmark for the forums is the "View recent unread" page and I see all the news items there anyway, but if I didn't use that page I would find the news that I care about in the forums I bother to read. I think that spreading it out gets it to more viewers.

Spread out. The rest of us post interesting/relevant stuff all over the forums. No reason Saint shouldn't do the same.

It isn't hurting anything by spreading them out. I like how the news items are being incorporated into the forums. There have been many times I wanted to comment on a news item - now I can. ;D

How about both? We put a link in the relevant forum to a forum that is dedicated. That way a dedicated forum user can see the link while making the dedicated forum group happy as well? :)

Not a bad idea sirwoogie, but isn't that the way they work now in a sense? Personally I'd like to see a dedicated forum for the news items. where comments can accumulate.
Though if they weren't spread out then we might not have RandyT working on a new bling project for his LEDWiz. ;D So both places have their merits.

FWIW, I like them spread out. If I want to see them all, then I can go to the main page.
In either event, I really like seeing them posted in the forums as it get me to check the main page more often.

Oh. heh, seriously though, It livens up some otherwise not as lively sub forums. I.E. Arcade Misc, Forum Discussion, Etc. Keep up the good work Saint. All of your news posting are making it funner to hang out at BYOAC.
