I would like two of these if possible, but one would be nice ....
-
Looks like they have them on ebay.

Yes, I know, but those are crazy prices .....
-
Prices look about right to me. Do you have a spencers at your mall? They carry decent stuff that might work for you.
-
Yeah, I could look at Spencers .... good idea. I wonder if they have stuff which will flash with the beat of the music .....
-
It's possible, but it may also be possible to buy a cheap one of those "beat flashers" and hack it with something more elaborate like this disc. I'm going to give that a shot soon for a bartop.
-
If you get a hack working, then possibly start a thread about it to show others what you did?
-
Check the "horror fps bartop" thread in the near future. That's where it will be.
-
I got mine at Walmart, of all places, for $24.00 each.
I don't remember if it was the 10" or 12" though.
They are in the Novelty Lighting section
-
Great, I will look into this for sure ....
-
FYI, (forgot to mention in my earlier post) The ones I got have two settings - Constant On and Sound Activated.
-
The ones from spencers react to sound and music.
-
Thinkgeek - $23 - $25.

Thanks for the link, but those are only 6" wide ...... very small. I will go to Spencers next time I am at the mall. Also, I will checkout Walmart.
-
did u find them at spensers?
-
I foudn them at spencers, but they wanted $20 for the 6" ones. I ended up getting some on Ebay for cheaper. I got a 12" blue one, and two 6" ones. Not sure how to incorporate these yet, but they were a good deal so I spent the money. They are sitting in their boxes in my closet right now ...... I am still gathering other bits and pieces. I also live in South Florida so building something in the garage is going to have to wait until the cooler months most likely (depending on how long I can hold out making the cabinet ;D )
Still fiddling with the design and gathering hardware for it. Hardest part is figuring out what to do with the speakers. I have no knowledge on how to connect home audio speakers to the cabinet. I was originally going to use a few pairs of computer speakers only, but do not know what to do yet for sure.
