Title: HELP - With Cabinet Audio Needed
Post by: Freeplay on April 14, 2007, 07:06:42 pm
I’m in the middle of a Jukebox cab build. ( PC based PIII, SKjukebox, keywiz etc )
My dilemma starts with the audio.  I’m  installing a sub woofer box, and some 6x9 4 way car speakers for the top end sound.
I can get these from ebay fairly cheap.

I want to keep it all running from mains power ( 240v Aussie )
So do I need to find an Amp that has 2.1 channel output... or is there a way of connecting the sub to a 2 channel Amp?

You are using automotive type speakers so it would probably be easiest to connect them up to a automotive amp.   Make sure you don't get too many watts as it becomes hard to find a large enough power supply.   I think the common setups are for a multi channel amp that does 2 channels and the sub or a 2 channel amp and separate amp for the sub.
