Does anyone have a link for a good commercial touchscreen jukebox software...we've looked at a few, and we haven't found anything that is easy to setup, user and looks professional...
I'm also looking ar a decent home version, that has touch screen support...
Some that we have looked at are SK Jukebox, VMJ, Jukenator, and Uncle T's...and a couple more that the names escape me...
Anyone have any suggestions?

What were the problems you encountered with UncleT's Jukebox set up? I am always interested in hearing feedback .....

I use SKjuke with a touch screen and have used VMJ until SKjuke came along. For home use either seems to work fine. When you say you are looking for something that looks professional, exactly what type of displays or features are you looking for? There are alot of commercial programs out there that are never even mentioned in this forum.

I use Nordbeat.
I started with it before some of the current software really ran well with touch screens.
It's great for a home system and has a lot of features designed for commercial use.

I personally use Freeboxjukebox
You can use the public release, but the private release will get you more features and its updated constantly.

Finding screenshots of Nordbeat is hard .... do you know where to find them? Perhaps you could post a few here?
I didn't realize how few screenshots were available for this product. It is skinnable, so maybe there really isn't just one single look for the product.
I just noticed he has a demo video on his website. It uses the default skin so it should give you an idea of what it's all about.

In the demo it shows the juke as mouse driven, but it works exactly the same with the touchscreen.

I used Touchtone Audio, and it was setup and go, pretty much. However, it's not free, and admittedly I didn't spend the time I should have, looking into some of the awesome alternatives by the guys here.

One of the problems i found with touchscreen software is that it is authored by people who do not have a touchscreen. You cannot assume that it will work just because it does with a mouse. The best option is to try a few... I went for PC Jukebox because it was the only touchscreen juke software i could find at the time that worked properly with my touchscreen however there are now far more options than there were back in 2005. It was the lack of support that made me create my own software even though i had spent $40 already.

Not true about The PC Jukebox...I have been using that program for several years and love it. True, it hasn't been updated in a while, but it is definitely still being supported. Each time I send an email asking a question I get a reply pretty quickly. I know you are proud of your own creation Barcrest (and well you should be), but to say "Don't bother" about someone else's work is pretty unfair...especially since it looks like you based your program on his to start with. Not trying to start a fight here, just giving my opinion...

Hmmm, welcome to the boards. Nice first post....
The reason i said don't bother is the fact that if you purchased it now you would be getting a version that is a year old and full of bugs that Andy has no intention of fixing. His new version will involve you spending more money as it is a new product and he has already stated there will be a charge even for existing customers.
Aside from posting a few screenshots of the new product he hasn't replied to peoples bug reports on the forum.....(9 Posts in total in a year...)
In my book that means unsupported. thePCJukebox is an end of life application by Andy's own admission.
As for freebox i don't mind addmitting that thePCJukebox was my inspiration for coding the jukebox. It started off to test why thePCJukebox was so slow at displaying 12 album covers. It was then that i thought if i add a play function to this and i have a basic jukebox... In the end freebox came about. Andy admitted he ripped his look from touchtunes by BOSE so no big deal here...

That's cool Barcrest...as I said, not trying to start a fight here! Again, I just thought the comment "Don't bother" was a little harsh. The creator of this thread was simply asking for touch screen jukebox suggestions and someone else suggested the program I use and love. I just felt compelled to come to Andy's defense.
I feel your comment of "full of bugs" is unfounded as well. As I said, I paid for and have been running his program for about 2 and half years now and have not experienced one error once. That's not to say that others haven't, but personally I have not found a bug yet. I upgrade to the latest version right after it came out last year. And just because the program is a year old does not mean it is not worth checking out.

And please realize that I am not taking a shot at your software...you obviously have a strong and loyal following and for a good reason. It just seemed like you were attacking Andy with no justification and I've never seem him criticize your program at all.

Obtaining an unlock code is NOT SUPPORT, that is giving you what you paid for.
Support is replying to people on the forum who have issues and resolving them. He has publically stated he will not be upgrading that software anymore. You will have to pay for his new app when that comes out. So if you buy it and it doesn't work due to a problem with the code then there is nothing that can be done. This is how you would define NOT SUPPORTED.

I have looked at his forums at length and all I can find is several posts from YOU badgering him about the price of the new program. I found one brief mention from Andy that nothing has been finalized or decided for sure, but that is it. And why do you care since you are not going to be buying it anyway? You seem to be the only one who is concerned about this.
What did Andy ever do to you (besides give you your inspiration, as you say)?

I agree with Barcrest. If I buy a product and I have to call in, or register it before the program will work - thats not support. Thats getting what I paid for. Support means supporting a product. I shouldn't need help installing the product. I'm sure the new guy wouldn't be saying this about Microsoft if he had to send an email out before he could use his OS.

yup, I agree thats not support. I consider support fixing bugs and adding new features. Barry added something for me that I asked for, thats support.

And I have need to stop develop of Arcade Music Box, after lose of most source of it (yes there is still a least one bug in v30, wich I cant fix, but there is workaround of it). It was about when I tried to add a contain feature by an email request, that got halted.
It bad with that type support, since I could get more donations, and could get more donation (these I got was directly to get BlitzMax). ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- :(, so remember take backups of your source files!!!
