Title: Question about a Midway/Namco Galaxian graphics

I took some side by side photos of my original Galaxain screen and my MAME Galaxian screen.  My original is the Midway graphics roms and the other is the Namco graphics roms.  I thought the only difference was the "Midway" or "Namco" name in the opening screen.  But after looking at it closer, it appears the Galaxian ship is a different shape, and the Galaxian invaders are different colors.  The Namco version has red and purple invaders, while the Midway version seems to be all blue invaders with just different colored wings.  Is this correct, or is my Midway board missing colors?  Anyone know?

Mmmmm, interesting. First I thought you monitor was messing up, but it looks like all guns are running, although the white letters look a bit blueish, but not too badly.

Have you tried all the Galaxian Rom versions in Mame ?

No, i haven't tried the midway roms in MAME.....this is just weird...looks like the yellow/blue/red galaxian is different too.

It could be a ROM issue.

My MAME cab is currently out of order so I can't check the ROMs....

The Namco and Midway roms look the same except for the name on the screen with mame .106

Hmm, so what do you think mine is?  Maybe some bootleg roms were added at one point?  I don't think it's a monitor issue, as i'm getting all the colors displayed.  I heard there were several different rom versions for this game,,,,maybe mine is an uncommon one?
