I, like so many other hockey lovers in the South, have waited and dreamed of this day for sooo long. I know many people down here who told me I was crazy to back this team, that they'd NEVER amount to anything.
This....to be number 1 in the Division....was worth the wait. We've still got bidness to attend to, but I'm more than willing to go a step at a time. Getting to the playoffs this year like this is just HUGE.

The playoffs are a wonderful thing. I just wish my Oilers weren't so pitiful this season. Watch out for Pittsburgh.

go wings? go where? they will be VERY lucky if they get past Calgary in the first round. Not a Flames fan by any means, just dont think Detroit is as good as the record indicates. Must be nice to have St. Louis , Chicago and Columbus to feed off of in your division.

I'm afraid the Devils prediction isn't a bad one. TB owned them regular season, but they playoffs are just that.

Personally, I like the predictions too with the exception of Tampa and the Devils. You just never, ever, EVER sell New Jersery short if they make it to the dance.
As far as my Thrashers and the Rangers go, I could not believe the talking heads on Saturday giving us NO chance against New York. For as much as I respect Jaromir Jagr, the man is on the back side of an illustrious career - he can't carry the Rangers by himself.
While we're talking goal tending, you've got to remember the Thrash have two very healthy, young guns out there in Lehtonen and Hedberg. If those two have great games, so do the Thrash. You also cannot rule out the presence of Hossa, Kovalchuck, and Keith T. on that ice offensively. It may be a long series but I believe the Thrash surprise their "rookie" fans and make it to round two - especially if they bring the play from the last week of the season into the first round of the playoffs. They looked really, really poised for a first year playoff team in the last games against Carolina and Tampa especially.

I went back and forth with the Devils/Lightning series. I think it's gonna be close, but I think Tampa will pull it out, they seem to have New Jerseys number this year. And I still believe that New Jersey firing their coach so close to the playoffs will have a negative effect.

It's hard to question lamoriello. He makes some weird decisions, but with 3 cups, you just have to say, uh, ok.

True enough, either way I am looking forward to watching all the playoff hockey I possibly can!

I am not in to hockey much at all... but my good buddy is a HUGE...and I mean HUGE Flyers fan...and we all know how good the Flyers were this year >couCELLARgh<...
...if I wear red to his house he gives me a hard time...if it is game day and they are playing the Devils and I wear red he makes me take off my shirt or go home...he's THAT friggin' nuts about the Flyers...
Hockey is fun to watch when the flyers are winning, but he gets all bummed out when they lose and it kills it for me...
Hey...at least they get the most chances at the first pick, eh?

I hate the flyers almost as much as I hate the rangers. When I lived in NJ, I went to a game in Philly and NJ with my flyers fan buddy.
But, I think they will be better next year. They've got lots of room to sign.

I'm from Pittsburgh, so I am obligated to hate the Flyers and Eagles. I don't like baseball at all, so the Phillies don't bother me.
