Title: can anyone post tv vs arcade monitor pics?

wondering just how much better an arcade monitor stacks up to a tv with s-video output

Wow, that is a huge difference. Here is an easier way to compare the two without cycling back and forth between two huge images:

Arcade monitor (RGB):

TV (S-video):

It would have been nice if you could have captured the same point in the color cycle of that Robotron screen for both shots, but either way, you can still tell that the arcade monitor is far superior.

yea would be great if or someone could capture an image in-game from a game like double dragon or street fighter 2 to compare.  But yes the arcade monitor def. looks much better. thanks.    :applaud:

Yeah, I know...it was hard because that screen is constantly changing colors and I wasn't able to get it just right.  Also, I did it on a different computer with the arcadevga so the scores weren't the same.  Oh well.  And thx for the better side by side pics MaximRecoil.

S-video is such a poor connection, only attempt to use a TV as a Monitor if the Tv your using has a scart socket on the rear, anything else just looks rubbish, but with scart there is no difference between an Arcade Monitor and a TV
