Title: Vertical 'rolling' of Scart TV via AVGA
Post by: gse123 on April 04, 2007, 02:11:00 am
I recently purchased a scart TV and an ArcadeVGA card to use with MAME. The picture is displaying (I can just about make out the windows logo) but the screen is 'rolling' vertically at a very fast rate. I e-mailed Andy at ultimarc who got back to me quickly (thanks Andy!) to suggest I try and find the service menu for my TV, and adjust the vertical properties, as it was overscanning. I Spent 4 hours on the phone to the guys that supplied me with the TV, and no-one was prepared to give me the info  of how to access the service menu (most of the people I spoke to denied even knowing how to).

Is there any other possible solution for this - or is it a case of having to buy a new TV?

And the Maker and Model of the TV is?

Try googling "Service Mode" and your maker of TV.

Sorry - the TV is  Logik 21 inch CRT. I've scoured the internet and cannot find any info related to accessing the service menu. It is a Curry's store 'own brand' so there is not actually a contactable phone number / address for 'Logik' - just the customer service number for Curry's, which is frankly appaling and not one person could supply me with the information I need.

A couple of things might help:

There is a book you can buy with most of the Service Mode Codes for TVs:

This site has some service manuals, maybe it can help:
