Title: Basic Key Wiz Continuity test question
Post by: blueboy on April 03, 2007, 08:38:31 pm
Hello,

Just using a continuity tester, one end on ground, and the other on button1 or 2, and no light up on my tester...

When i use this method on my ipac, i get the light up showing me a continuous path...

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is my keywiz broke.

Thanks,
Blue

Do you have buttons wired up to your key wiz?  If so, the buttons will be the "normally open" connection between your ground and your actuall keystroke input (1, 2, etc).

Only when you have the button pushed down (closed) whould you get a ground on any input.  Otherwise, you'd be sending constant button-pushes to the keyboard port.

Lesson learned.....
Do not wire test and stuff while drinking, low battery and wrong wires + drinking = hours wasted and frustration.
