Title: Get Yer 3" Trackballs here--Happ/Betsons!

Ok here's the deal--I managed to scrounge another 10 trackballs up--7 Happ and 3 Betsons.  1 Happ is tentatively sold (awaiting payment) and one is waiting for a part so that leaves 5 Happs and 3 betson's available. 

happs are $29.99USD + actual shipping -$5BYOAC shipping  discount

Betson's are $24.99USD + actual shipping - $5BYOAC  shipping discount (these are cheaper cause for some reason betson's aren't as popular and as a result take longer to sell--so I lower the price and they move like Happs--go figure)

No surcharge for multiball orders even though I have to build custom boxes--but for you guys, I'll let it slide 8)

All units have been fully disassembled, cleaned in the dishwasher, and fully tested using an optipac.  Comes with original wiring harness/molex plug.

Hey squeeky--regarding your pm on which ball is better and the difference--thats a matter of opinion I guess for the most part--personally I think the betson's are more solidly constructed (whole plastic casing vs only ball encased with Happ) the rollers are grooved on a betson giving more surface for the ball to roll on for what I would think would be a higher impulse response (suspect this impacts spin longevity due to increased friction however).   :dunno  Maybe others will chime in--sales are definitley 3-1 for happs vs betson so maybe thats enough info right there...

which one for a bartop eh? hmmm well they both have identical footprints so size isn't an issue, the happs do tend to roll better with a good hit whereas the betson's seem to track better for "on the ball" driving so for a bartop where you can't really smack it without hitting your screen i'd think the betson would give a better service. 

that said, The betson is a few ounces heavier so if you are looking to shave weight wherever then happs--so I guess it depends on whats important to you

(betsons are cheaper though!)

If you're talking about golf, that won't play any part in which unit I get.  I'm building an FPS bartop so I need more precision in short movements.  Sounds like the Betson is the one to go with.

Could you give me a quote for a Betson shipped to 02762?  Thanks!

Randy uses Betsons for his Electric ICE-T trackballs.  So I'd say that the upgrade kit would work. ;)

Betson's tentatively sold out.  Happs tentatively 1 remaining--will confirm when payments received.

I will start a new thread if more are received--be the same deal just sometimes its more betson's than happs...

Just a note on tracking numbers.  Go to www.canadapost.ca and enter it in there.  be forewarned its not as prompt as say fedex or ups--in fact it may be on your doorstep before they mark it as in transit--go figure...

Got mine yesterday. Looks good, but I don't have an encoder or mouse hack yet, so all I can do is look at it for a bit and pretend to play Centipede.
