Okay, so I have a K4900 with a recent cap kit. Picture looks great except for one thing, there is about a 1/2 inch of black on side and 1 1/2" of black on the other side. This chassis has the daughterboard with the pot and transistor soldered across the vertical centering leads. This is as good as I can adjust it using the pot.
I've searched the forum and the only thing I've found is the reference to changing the cap that limits the vertical width size. I have no problem adjusting the vertical width, and can make it wide enough to fill the screen, although the left side would be off the screen. Don't know if the right side of the picture movement is the 0 ohm side of the pot or not. Would increasing the size of the pot give me more range to move the picture to the right? Or would it increase my ability to move it to the left?
Am I out of luck on adjusting it further and should just be happy that it works, or can I do something about it?
Thanks.

Change the vertical shift jumper position for large, rough adjustments, and then fine tune it with the pot that apparently yours has (mine doesn't have the fine tuning pot unfortunately, just the jumpers).
