Title: Possible monitor problems
Post by: SithMaster on April 01, 2007, 06:55:39 pm
Someone local to me is selling a monitor they list as a zenith G-A63ADG25X with color issues.

What would be the cause of the color problems.  Like i said the seller thinks its the cap kit but im thinking it could be the pots being off.  is there a pot for blue? since that is the color that is most prominent.  thanks.

That's a Wells-Gardner 25k7193 monitor. They came with those ---smurfy--- Zenith tubes. It's possible it MIGHT be needing a capkit, but it's also possible the picture tube has a problem which only a rejuvenator can confirm.

So the zenith tubes are garbage?  If its going to cost a lot to replace/repair then i wont bother with it.

Those Zenith tubes are a high failure item. However, if this monitor didn't have much use then the tube may be fine and all you need to do is capkit it.
