Title: Need help assigning controllers 1 and 2

Okay, this is driving me mad. I've got two controllers hooked up to my PC right now: my PS2 Dualshock 2 through an adapter, and my brother's Xbox 360 controller. I want my dualshock 2 to be recognized as Joystick 1 because it's the controller that I'd rather use, and it's hooked up more often. However, whenever the Xbox 360 controller is plugged in, my Dualshock 2 is automatically reassigned as joystick 2! Can anyone tell me how I can specify that I want the dualshock 2 as joystick 1, and the Xbox 360 controller as joystick 2? Thanks!

Try this. Start>Settings>Control Panel>Game Controllers>Advanced and choose device from drop down list.

I tried that, but the problem still persists. :(
