This is duplicated in my project announcement, however since this is a monitor only question, i thought I'd get a better response here!
Okay guys, I'm working narrowing down this monitor selection! The problem it, its hard to exact dimensions for these things. On top of that, I have a question about the placement of the monitor in the cabinet.
Like I said above, my monitor choices for multisync are basically the 27" Betson or the 25" Neiman. Here are the urls to the dimensions I have:
27" Imperial Betson
http://www.betson.com/products/IMP-44-4070-RT
25" Nieman
http://www.niemandisplays.com/monitor%20mechanical%20dims.pdf
Unfortunately, these lack all the dimensions I want. Wells Gardner offers a multisync (which apparently gets poor reviews) but they do provide all the dimensions with their monitors, like so!

It seems like the angle of the chasis (i hope I used the right term) for the WG and the Betson are about the same. That angle seems like it could save a good bit of depth from a cabinet which leads me to my next question! How come the WG 27" monitor is ~19" deep, the Nieman 25" is ~19" deep, but the Betson length is 25"? I'm assuming the Beston height = top to bottom distance, width = left to right distance, and length = front to back distance, right?
In the attached picture there are two circles, typically, how far from the front and back of the side is the monitor? Put another way, from the back of the monitor, how many inches are there to the back of the cabinet? And vice versa from the front.
Thanks!
Nathan

Quick follow up, I called Betson Parts today and asked for the depth on the Imperial 27". The man there said about 19". I guess the length on the site is not the depth. FYI!

Hi Nathan, I am not really sure- perhaps I am just missing it but what dimension do you think you needed??
If the 25" is too deep by the drawings, we can reduce it as a custom by about an inch- no charge.
If something else does not fit let me know, we pride ourselves on stuff like this.
Thanks

Later....I had no idea you could do that.

Hey Rick, thanks for the response!
Your monitor is great, your website provided the approximate dimensions I needed, no depth problem there. It was the Betson that provided no depth information!
The questions in this thread are, how many inches is the monitor frame typically from the back of the cabinet? how many inches is the monitor tube or frame typically from the front of the cabinet? I stopped by an arcade this weekend and measure that it was typically about 0.5" from the front of the cabinet to the start of the bezel, then the bezel is usually around 2". Therefore, for my cabinet, I drafted the monitor to be around 2.5" from the front! I assumed that there is usually around 0.5" from the inside of the cabinet to the monitor frame. That sound about right?
Thanks!
