Title: CP Help
Post by: Mitch on March 24, 2002, 07:54:31 am
I am converting an older bartop game to Tetris. I am looking for two rather small joysticks to fit on the CP. Any suggestions? Also, how do I modify
the CP to hold the four buttons and two sticks I will need. I may be able to use some existing holes but may need to create some and cover some? It is a metal CP.

Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.

Mitch, can you ditch the metal cp and just build a new wood one?  I think it would be much easier that messing with the metal one.

I have not seen any small joysticks.

i agree, working with metal is just too hard. you can always get some metal finish laminate to go over the wood if you want to keep the look. i dont know how you would fill a hole in metal other than using a button plug and thats just ugly.

if you have to use the metal panel, I'd recomend you put a skin of 1/8 inch plexi, or even another layer of metal (aluminum is easier to drill, but also scratches) over the top, that will cover old holes much nicer than plugs, and you don't have to pay someone to bend a new panel to fit the cab.

Are the Ninterndo joysticks used on games like Donkey Kong small enough?

They are 3 or a little bit over 3 inches in length.
