Since I've got a lot of blank space on my CP, I figured that I could probably afford to have some CP art. That said, I decided to go non traditional. Here's what I have so far.
1 - Olive/Pink (black t molding)

This colour combo actually works better than I thought it would.
3 - Sakura (black or white t molding)

Clean. Simple.
4 - MFP (black t molding)

I'm not actually going to do this. I just wanted to see how many people would get this one.
5 - Dancers (white t molding)

So very pink......
6 - Bamboo (black or white t molding)

Soothing.
7 - Taito (black t molding)

Self explanitory. A royal pain to draw.
Why no number 2? Because number 2 sucked.

#3 and #6 are the only ones in these examples that I really like, however, the composition is really uneven in both examples. In #3, the composition is really heavy on the right part of the CP, but there's almost nothingto bring your eye over to the left side of the CP, graphics-wise.
That being said, I still like #3 the best.
Good starts though. Some arrows around the j-sticks would really help these to pop.

I like both 1 and 3. However, I agree that 3 looks to be uneven. #7 definitely has the strongest 'traditional' cp vibe a la taito. However, if you're looking to go nontraditional, then I say 1 or 3. 1 is so simple but that color combo looks awesome, it's simple and clean, and I like that silhouette look. maybe if you could even 3 out a bit. just my two cents. great job though really.

I like #4, "The Bronze". :) #3 is my fav from the rest.
You've taken a very non-traditional approach to designing your control panel. I like it.
