Okay, so I figured I'd quit using Re: TRON JOYSTICK HANDLES (Recasting) PART 1, since it was going off into a more general direction, and start a new thread. So I picked up some Alumilite clear and Dow Corning HSII from Tom's in Cary, NC(the folks at Tom's Train Station are awesome, and if you're in the Raleigh, NC area, they now carry a ton of Alumilite products http://www.tomstrainstation.com/ (http://www.tomstrainstation.com/)). So basically, I need to find a decent set of scales before I get started. Since I've had mixed results in the past what do I need to know before I get started, any advice?

For clear don't you need to take special care to reduce bubbles like a degassing rig (vac chamber) or pressure pot to reduce bubble size.? If you can get a longer curing time you might be able to tap alot of bubbles out but I think the Alumlite is fairly fast.

Yes. I played with the idea of starting out with Alumilite tan but I've got this fetish for translucent stuff. I plan to build a vacuum chamber if this works out.
