You know what Kenny Rogers says:

"You got to know when to hold 'em... Know when to fold 'em..."

Divorce nothing, I smell a big fat pile of resentment!
I can just imagine with every bite of wedding cake he has, he will be thinking that pole position paid for it :laugh2:

It wasn't just the pole position board, she has sold many other boards he had, I bought a wwf superstars board from her.

So, is he the normal poster here? Did she hijack his account to do this? Or has it been her all along?

I would really hope he cut a "special" deal for each board he sold.  ;) >:D

Otherwise he IS an idiot.

I find that it is a perfect time to negotiate when the wife really, really wants something gone.

You are so right here Shardian.

While I agree this poor shmuck sounds like a chump... in a way, he could be viewed as taking one for the team.  Sounds like these boards will have a better chance of being used rather than just wasting away in storage.   :D

That was my thoughts as well, but any marriage based on the condition of one of the partners to give his passion/hobby is bound to end in a nightmare.....IMHO.

Oh, I totally agree... by "team" I meant the greater arcade community, not the soon-to-be-married-filing-separately-couple.  :)

Sounds to me like something thrown in that will guarantee threads like this, getting a little PR notice for his auctions.  Shrewd.

I can tell you this....I have been married for almost 10 years....everyday is a struggle, you gotta compromise.

But if any ---smurfette--- tried to get between me and my arcades....she is out on the curb!  ;D

Thank god for me I have an equally addicted wife. The first cabinet I made I heard "Oh my God, we don't need something like that in the house"...then after it was finished....all I hear from the other room is click click click..."oh damn buzzards!"...then I say..."Come on honey, it's my turn"....which is followed by "No way...I got the high score!"

Compromise, ---my bottom---!

my thoughts exactly, sounds like a great way to sell and "untested" board a little easier, its a safe bet that things are never what they seem on Ebay, scammers rule the day lately....

she sure does see mto be very knowledgable for someone just forcing their spouse to sell somehting, couldnt the husband just tell her its worth thousands and then keep it when it doesnt sell?

just seems fishy, not that that has any reazl bearing on the auction though...

i could be and have been wrong, but my gut screams "liars!!" when i read that.

Nevermind. I am an idiot. I have been reading this thread wrong since yesterday. I thought shorthair was the one auctioning the thing. Carry on.  :banghead:
