Title: Can a G05 be replaced by a WG V1000?
Post by: modessitt on March 18, 2007, 02:21:15 pm
I pulled a working WG V1000 out of a badly-built custom pong cocktail and would like to use it as a replacement for the missing G05 in the Battlezone I just picked up.

Don't know whether vector graphics can be run on the G05 or not, or what issues may arise from converting the power and signal input connectors.

Anyone know?

Thanks.

a vector pong?  Cant say that I have heard of a wg v1000 but the wg v2000 is a vector monitor that can be used in a battle zone

V1000 ?   Maybe a V1001 or a V1003?   Those are black and white raster monitors, consistant with the type of monitor I would expect in a pong type machine.

Raster monitors and not interchangeable with vector monitors, so no, a B/W raster would not work in a Battlezone.

Thanks for the info.  Thought not, but decided to check anyways.

Guess I'll go dig through the lot of bad G05's and see what I can get going.

Probably hang on to the V100? (monitor ID page just said V1000) since it works.  Who knows when a Space Invaders or something like that drops in my lap?
