Hello everyone! I'm new here looking to build my first cab. I am VERY excited! I've been looking at a lot of projects on these forums and I can't get it out of my thoughts.
My question is this, I can't find a 4 player cp layout that I like. I want it to be a good 1 player experience (Pacman, etc.) and I want it to be a good 2 player experience (Street Fighter 2) and I want a good 4 player experience (gauntlet & ninja turtles)...I am planning on my cp being removable, so it's ok if it is wider than a doorway (36").
Another question is display. Is the Wells-Gardner D9200 really worth the $500 price tag? If it is that much better of a display I'll get it...I just want the recomendation from here :) It would delay my budget by 2-3 months.
Thanks for any/all of your help!!

The general consensus is that the WG d9200 is not a good choice - not the type of monitor is the problem, rather that specific one. Perhaps a Nieman tri-mode would be a better choice.

CP design is always a compromise. Perhaps you should consider swappable or modular CP's.
Better yet multiple cabs!
Honestly, I think that you need to do A LOT more research before diving in. There is a lot to consider and figure out ahead of time if you don't want to redo everything later and avoid mistakes.

Thanks Rick!
Yes, I plan on doing more research before diving in. This is consuming all my thoughts lately and I have been doing nothing but drawing up ideas and researching everything.
I am a little confused though, because after reading this review:
http://www.retroblast.com/reviews/d9200-1.html
the D9200 looks awesome...anyone else have any thoughts on these displays?
Thanks!

Did you read the Retroblast review for the d9200 all the way through?
Board failure after 2 days?
This thread may be of interest.

So, a Betson like this one might be a better choice?:
