Hello to all, after enjoying my cab for three years I recently decided to see about updating it. After reading through the forums I thought I would give MaLa a try. When I downloaded it from arcadezentrum, Avast prompted me that it has a Win32:Hooker-D [Tool] virus.
This doesn’t sound right, as I have not been able to find any mention of this anywhere. And with my past experience of this community during my research to build my cab, a frontend having a virus is unlikely in my opinion.
Could someone shed some light on this please.

I doubt it's a virus, probably a false detection. More likely it's some sort of key hooking code used in Mala that has a signature matching a virus.

Thanks I’m sure your right. It’s just strange that there is no other mention of this. There must be other Avast users out there.

From the MaLa download page:
Notice!
Some virus scanner will report a virus in the file MalaKeyhook.dll. There is NO virus inside! It's also save to delete this file because it's only necessary for the exit hook (other emulators) on win98 systems. Use the hotkeys instead on other systems.

I must be blind in my right eye! ;)
