Title: Sound Legit?
Post by: sodapopinski on March 10, 2007, 12:44:29 am
I wandered into the student's lounge for the first time today and noticed they had arcade machines. One caught my eye in particular, the machine was clearly made or modified from an existing cab. It had a 14" vertically mounted monitor and a crappy paper bezel and cost 50 cents to play. That being said, it must have been running an emulator of some sort. Are there legit programs out there that allow this? I know it's a computer in that cabinet. Actually, it made me angry to see this.

Yeah, playing on a 14" monitor for 50 cents should be illegal.

If you can tell up what games it was playing we can determine if it is just mame in a cab,  a multi board (likely) or a real multigame cab.

All the new multiboards supoort VGA out since they are built on a Single Board Comp running MAME.  Probably not a legal arrangement.
