Title: Wells gardner 4900 crt heater glowing but no picture on screen

I have  wells gardner 4900 which is not showing a pciture on the screen. The crt heater is glowing but I am not getting a picture on the screen but I can hear the sounds of the game . I have tried to make adjustments on the chassis but with not luck. Can someone point me in direction  of what could be my problem.

If you have not installed a capkit and inspected the boards for bad solder joints, then by all means please do so now. After that's done then see how it works.

I recapped the board and checked all the solder joints and I am still have the same problem, the crt is glowing but no picture on the screen. Any ideas of what I should check next?

Have you tried adjusting the "SCREEN" control on the flyback yet? Consider it a coarse brightness control. Then you also have the "Black Level" control on the main board which you can consider also a fine brightness control.

Hi Ken, I have tried to adjust the screen control on the flyback and also the black control on the board with no luck. The screen just stays black and does not do anything when I make adjust ments.

Any bad solder joints on the neckboard?

I checked the neckboard and the solder joints are all good.
