Title: Cold Cathode ?
Post by: aj6500 on April 08, 2003, 02:39:53 am
Is a cold cathode tube (about 15") bright enough to use for exterior cabinet lighting?  I've seen some that will flash with music, and I'm considering adding a couple to my jukebox.  If they are real dim, I won't bother.

Also I found a site that sold them REAL cheap, like $2-3 a tube.  I didn't bookmark as I figured I could find it again later.  Of course I don't get around to it for a couple weeks... so.  Anyone have a good source?

I'm thinking of adding 2 of the sound-sensitive fixtures.. putting one of the sensors in the marquee where the regular speakers are and one down in the bottom where my sub's at.. hopefully there'd be enough difference to flash em differently

I just google'd on sound sensitive lighting to find some sellers and then used the part numbers either to google again or look on ebay
