Title: New spring for UltraStik 360 available
Post by: AndyWarne on March 02, 2007, 01:01:43 pm
By popular request there is now a new spring which gives a pressure of halfway between the standard spring and the previous harder spring.
This is available on www.ultimarc.com/upgrade.html
The price of $6 includes air mail.
Note that I have 25 of these only at the moment. Any orders above this number will be fulfilled in 2-3 weeks when the main order arrives.
When ordered with the joystick itself (or any other parts) the price is only $3.

Hey, I've been wanting to buy the Bat handled Ultrastik360 but the Ultimarc site keeps saying they are currently out of stock. When will they have some available again?

I'd order right now, but I need two, and $12 for just two springs is a bit steep since the shipping can't be that different for one vs. two. Anything you can do about that?

I have to say though, with that gate mod I did I'm starting to get used to the light default spring. I'm not sure I'd want something that was significantly stiffer, just a little more resistance. Curious to see where these fall.

Thanks Andy.

You can buy battop separately. Battop and balltop are unscrewed. Maybe someone from BYOAC can sell Sanwa battop. (ponyboy?)

Andy, do you have photo for new spring?

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like the hardest spring option you've had. But if the price included both the new spring and the previous "middle-option" spring I could go for it. It's hard to settle on which spring is gonna feel right when you can't test feel one first.

I think it would be nice to include the restrictors and springs in the initial price - or, perhaps raise it a few dollars, only.

The old "middle" spring is almost as stiff as the hard one, and way too much resistance for my taste.

I have added another selection on the upgrade order page "pair of springs" to overcome the additional shipping on 2 of them.
The original hard and medium spring will be discontinued. It is correct that there was not much difference between the two of these and both were rather on the hard side.

Sold! Thanks Andy. I'll post my impressions after they arrive.

I'm really happy to have a pair of the springs that are being discontinued. I persoally like them and i thought they were the popular choice...Shows ya what I know...Squat!

Hmmm I'm sure this new spring will be sweet.

ANDY: Any thoughts on doing another size of round restrictor? IE smaller. Just curious.
