Just want some opinions and maybe some pics of your CAB using semi-gloss paint or Enamel. Which do you prefer? Is one smoother/better than the other?

Depends on the plans, really. If you're stenciling I'd be tempted to go with enamel if you can get it in your area (some states are in lead content law transition and it's not easy to get in quantity). If it's just a base color that you're going to put a vinyl print on, a quality semigloss should do the job just fine.

Well, I think I will use semi goss for my control panel cause I'm just going to be covering it up with some CP artwork anyway. I'm contemplating using the enamel on the CAB cause I'm not sure when or if I'll get side art for it.

I'd advise against mixing types like that. They'll finish differently and it will bug you to look at.

That makes sense. Maybe I'll test each finish to see what I like best. If not I know many people use semi-gloss and are happy with the outcome so maybe I'll stick to that. Also I have a few cans of semi at home so I wouldn't have to purchase enamel.

There is definitely nothing wrong with semigloss. The only thing I'd recommend is looking into how well it would hold up on the CP depending on the type of CP (wood vs metal) and what type of paint (latex vs oil).
