I'm in Bangalore, India for work this week and on the Discovery Channel here they are advertising a show about the history and evolution of Arcade games premiering March 10th. It looks pretty cool but I can't find it in their online tv listings. I hadn't seen this before coming here so I'm wondering if they are only running it in a different market for staters.
Has anyone in the States or elsewhere seen this advertised?

Nope but I'll definately try to find it.

Ah.. I think I've seen this one. It was about atari and stuff.

According to the commercial, it starts with Pong, Space Invaders and moves through to Fighters and 1st person shooters and on to real advanced graphic stuff.
Ok, I just found a reference to it on the Indian Discovery Channel Website.

It's called "I, Videogame". I cannot find a reference to it on www.discovery.com but I did find a reference to it here:

In that second link, it says that I, Videogame is for worldwide release. I wonder if the discovery channel just has the release date for it later...

So, anyone think it will be different than this one?

I've been to Bangalore for work also. The traffic there is insane. On the drive from the airport to the hotel, I think I actually screamed!

Places like that, and particularly in the middle east, they have no traffic regulation. When I was in Saudi, where they did have stop signs but nobody but us obeyed them, almost daily were there reports of crashes - often involving buses - and the traffic in the areas we were was low!

You try getting dairy cows to obey traffic signs.

I actually went to a bowling alley when I was in Bangalore. It had a little arcade within the bowling alley and most of the games were redemption type games. I did play some racing game but all of the text was in Japanese. Also, in the bowling alley, all of the electronic scoring machines were in Japanese. The funny part is, no one in India speaks or reads Japanese.
I was an interesting experience...

The thread was more about the TV show "I, Videogame" on Discovery than Bangalore
