Title: Replacement Monitor for Neo29 ???
Post by: JoshuaMiller on February 26, 2007, 08:07:21 pm
I'm looking to replace a blown monitor in a Japanese Neo29 cab.  Does anyone have any make/model suggestions?  Can I get this done for less than $300?

Any info greatly appreciated!

Thanks-

IIRC that's going to take a 27" monitor, since the candy cabs measure the size differently than we do (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I know people have shoehorned Western monitors in, they just don't always fit without some work. You'd be better off asking this question at Killer Cabs or something though, there isn't much of a candy userbase here.

Thanks Aurich.

I'll post over there too.

If it's the same as a Super Neo 29, then a Betson 27" fits in there pretty well.  The bezel is slightly more curved so that will have a gap (I had to remove the inner foam strip to get it near flush).  Also, the mounting bolts are close but don't line up, but the Betson fit well enough that I just sat it in there and screwed the bezel in place over the monitor.  Thought about swapping the monitor frames, but just didn't feel like it.
