So Im wanting to get a 19" vga arcade monitor from arcade shop.com It runs at Sync rate of 31.5KHz - VGA 640 x 480 Mode
Sync rate 38KHz - SVGA 600 x 800 Mode I found this site that says window xp wont display correct at 640 x 480 unless you do the workaround. I dad and my current pc monitor drastically cropped the image.
I wonder if the vga arcade monitor will even work with my windows xp pc ?
I dont want to blow the money for something I cant use.
If you have any info please post it im getting desperate here. I finely have the dough for it and now i dint know if it will work.
Thanks

Why not use the 800x600 mode that the monitor also supports? ???

I thought that if you used vga that meant you plugged it into the pc were a regular monitor plugs in . I thought svga was something else am I wrong ?
Do i just plug nad play and it comes up at 800x600. If so arcadeshop is going to think im an idiot after the e mail i sent them :banghead:
thanks

That's true, but a totally different context (cabling). In this instance, VGA means 640x480 resolution and SVGA = 800x600. Both resolutions are achieved by connecting the PC to the monitor via a 'VGA' cable though hehe.
