Title: Help with new utility: Anyone running D9200 with ArcadeVGA?
Post by: AndyWarne on April 07, 2003, 09:32:15 am
Hi,

I am currently working on a utility which will over-ride the ArcadeVGA card built-in video modes for Windows desktop resolutions, which will allow a non-interlaced desktop on a D9200 at 31Khz. I need someone to test it, as I don't have a D9200 (or space in my workshop for one!).
Anyone running this config with XP, and willing to test please email me.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,

I was wondering, Is this the utility that you mentioned that you would probably make to update the video bios on the ArcadeVGA card so that multi frequencies is supported on the WG D9200 monitors throught the ArcadeVGA card?

If not, what is the purpose of the new utility?

Look forward to you response.

Kind Regards,

Dariusz

Unfortunately the Daphne problem is out of my control. It is a bug in the core of the ATI driver, which affects YUV overlay in interlaced modes.
The solution would be to either run Daphne in a non-interlaced mode such as 640 X 288 which may require re-sampling of the MPEGs or disable YUV overlay.
I believe someone has had some success with this, there is a thread on our message board about it.
