Title: anyone mind posting mounting pic?
Post by: skirge66 on April 07, 2003, 03:37:03 am
Was wondering if anyone would mind posting a pic or 2 showing the mounting for a WG D9200 or possibly a link that shows this?

Haven't received my monitor yet and wanted to plan it out. thanks for the help

I just mounted mine on friday.. I'd recommend waiting until you have it in front of you before you go and start gluing wood :)
One thing to note is that the monitor glass extends approximately 3" in front of the mounting bracket.. so take this into account when trying to figure things out.
I basically took 2 2x4's and mounted them (wide-face-flush) on the inside of my cabinet on a 5-10 degree angle.  Then I ran 2 2x3's horizontally between the 2x4's to make a top and bottom support.. I managed to slide the monitor in by myself.. resting it on the control panel and slowly rocking it back onto the bottom support beam.  Bolted it in place w/ 6 bolts.. seems pretty solid.. gave it a good shaking to be sure.
If you follow this same kind of procedure, you'll need to jigsaw or route out 2 channels each on the top and bottom support to make room for the chassis brackets to slide past... sort of something like this:

+----------------------------------+
|  o                  o                 o |
+___---_________---______+

+-----__--------------__---------+
|  o                  o                  o |
+-----------------------------------+

of course, waiting until you have it in front of you is best :)

Cheers,
Sean

I did mine exactly like seaner except I have a 2x4 on each side as well.  Again, I'll try to remember to take pictures this week.  I need to write a list...
