Hello All,
I am diving right in to a mame project about 2 months after being inspired to pick up my old hobby again. Everyone

No, you aren't going to be able to use the arcadevga for that.
Are you sure you have the medium res monitor that some blitz came with. Some came with low res.
Also, you probably should have gotten a jpac. Did you blitz come with 8way or 49way sticks?

Hmmm. I have the same mysterous problem with my 1989 Atari Badlandls. Every once and a while I turn it on, but the monitor dosn't turn on; when I turn it off after this I see A closing box on the monitor (like that of turning off a television. It seems like it only happens when I turn the machine off, and turn it back on in less then 10 minutes. What could this be?

Yeah the problem has me worried because I bought the system so I could use the monitor. Here are the specs from Wells:
http://www.wellsgardner.com/wellsgardner31/supportdata/K7500.pdf
It is Med Res - but it says it is actually 15kHz so I am back in business. Yes! Now if I can just get it working.
The joysticks are 49 way. Should I have gone with the JPAC? I am creating a new CP to interface directly into the computer.

Wow, mine is a WG too! I need to check what model it is, but I really want to know WHAT this is!

I think you may be reading the specs wrong. It is medium resolution as stated here...

I am the one who needs sleep you are right. So I don't think Arcade VGA will work for me after all. Which still leaves me with the monitor problem. Any suggestions guys?

You need a Standard Resolution monitor. That said I'm pretty sure NFL Blitz 99 won't play on a Standard Res monitor (just a guess though) so you may not be able to "Have your Mame and Blitz it too".
Where are you located? Might want to try an auction. I picked up a dual monitor 25" working Cabinet for 115.00. The two 25" Standard Res monitors were worth that. Not sure if I want to let one go but may consider it.

Blitz worked and worked well for about a week. It stopped working after I moved it a couple of times. This is getting me down. :-[
