Title: Galaga control panel width??

Hey!

Does anyone know the width of the Galaga CP?

And maybe depth:)

My manual says 24" x 12" - not sure if thats an exact measurement or not?

So, that's 60cm, if we say that an inch is 2.5cm....pretty wide!!

My cabs need CP's that are either 53cm or 57cm wide...:(

So make it 57 cm then. Doesn't have to be exact unless your worried you won't have enough real estate for a specific button layout.

I have a repro Galaga panel on my cab (scratch built) so take this for what it's worth, but it's supposed to replace stock so it should be accurate. Mike's Arcade, they do good stuff. It's definitely not 24x12. :)

The width is exactly 23 1/16", don't know depth off the top of my head, but it's no more than 7" or 8" at a guess. Not 12" for sure! If you really need depth let me know and I can measure, too lazy to grab my tape measure out of the garage right now.

It's 23 1/16" by 7".

Just the top or the portion that wraps around? I think it's closer to 23.5 x 11" if you count the wrap around.

Hmmm...wonder what european licensed oddity my manual's for then?!  ::)

Almost every arcade cab/manual I lay my hands on seems to be some derivative version that's not quite standard - and I'm not talking about the conversion kits either.

Oh well - makes for an interesting life!

*EDIT*

I just noticed that there's a footnote on the page that says:

*trim decal to fit panel.

Makes sense I suppose and the 12" depth includes the bit that wraps down the front of the panel (on this version at least!)
